OK, so we just spent 5 weeks in New York where we tried to live like locals, subway-hopping, grabbing coffees from Zabar’s, chilling out in Central Park, food shopping in Trader Joe’s and obviously traipsing along 5th Avenue but we managed to get a few other things in too! I’m going to do a couple of posts on New York just to give everything its dues. Shorter posts…but hopefully sweeter 🙂
One of the nicest places we visited was the Brooklyn Botanic Garden out by Prospect Park (also a lovely area to wander around). Getting to the Botanic Garden from Manhattan is really easy – we were staying near the 2/3 subway lines and you can get those all the way to Eastern Parkway/Brooklyn Museum and it’s just around the corner from here. The garden is open from Tuesday to Sunday and usually costs $12 but there’s free entry on a Tuesday…which is obviously the day we went!
I think I pretty much could have gone with the title ‘Ode to a Cherry Blossom’ for this post…
